China Coal Group ‘Innovation Drives Development, Labor Writes The Flowery Chapter ‘ May Day Literary Performance Successfully Held

On April 26th, ‘Innovation Drives Development, Labor Writes the Flowery Chapter‘, a cultural and artistic performance on May 1st International Labor Day, hosted by Jining City Federation of Trade Unions and jointly organized by China Coal Group, Jining Workers' Cultural Palace, and Jining Enterprises and Entrepreneurs' Federation, was grandly held in the conference center of China Coal Group. Sheng Xiangdong, member of the party group, vice chairman of Jining City Federation of Trade Unions and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Jining City Federation of Trade Unions, Sun Li, chairman of the Labor Union of Jining Workers' Cultural Palace, and Gao Hongwei, vice chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Jining Hi-Tech District, joined the event with more than 1,000 members of the leadership of China Coal Group, such as Chairman Qu Qing, General Manager Han Yong, and all the cadres and workers of the Group.

At 3:00 p.m., the conference kicked off with a stirring welcome song. Mr. Han Yong, General Manager of China Coal Group, firstly delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the Group. He pointed out that on the occasion of the 135th International Labor Day, the Group pays tribute to laborers in the form of cultural and artistic performance, which is not only the inheritance and promotion of the concept of ‘labor creates value‘, but also the salute to the innovative spirit of industrial workers in the new era. Mr. Han emphasized that in recent years, the Group has made breakthroughs in the fields of intelligent mining equipment and industrial Internet platform construction through the strategy of ‘Intelligent Change and Digital Transformation‘, and these achievements are precisely the labor chapters written by all the workers with their wisdom and sweat. At the same time, also thanks to the Jining City Federation of Trade Unions, High and New Technology Zone Federation of Trade Unions strong support. The joint cultural performance is aimed at gathering the power of progress and showing the upward spirit of workers in the new era.

Sheng Xiangdong, vice chairman of Jining City Federation of Trade Unions, highly praised the trade union work of China Coal Group in his speech. He said that as a leading enterprise in the national intelligent manufacturing equipment industry, China Coal Group has always insisted on employee-oriented while promoting industrial upgrading, and has built a unique employee culture system. Especially through the platform of ‘Model Innovation Studio‘ and ‘Skill Master Workstation‘, it has cultivated a large number of industrial workers of the new era, setting a benchmark for the development of enterprises in the city.

In the warm applause, Mr. Sheng Xiangdong, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Qu Qing and other leaders jointly launched the ‘100 Years of Labor Movement and Exhibition of Era Style‘ activity of sending literature and art to the grassroots. The activity will organize cultural and art teams to carry out tours in key projects and industrial parks in the city, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the construction of employee culture in 2025.

The cultural performances were brilliantly presented by professional troupes and workers of China Coal Group. The opening dance ‘Blooming Flowers‘ showed the spirit of laborers with delicate dance; the traditional opera ‘Carrying Sedan Chair‘ and modern dance ‘Energetic Youth‘ intermingled to show the fusion of cultural inheritance and innovation of the times; the Sichuan Opera ‘Changing Faces‘ and the Erhu Sheng ensemble ‘Racing Horses‘ pushed the atmosphere of the scene to a climax. The grand finale of the show, the dance ‘The Great Tang Dynasty‘, demonstrated the ambition of the workers in the new era to create a better future, and brought the two-hour audio-visual feast to a successful conclusion.

This performance is an important part of China Coal Group's ‘May Day‘ series of thematic activities.
