Intangible Cultural Heritage Public Welfare Project Signing Ceremony Held at Shandong China Coal Group

Every stitch inherits ingenuity, and every craft empowers women’s growth. On the afternoon of July 15, the signing ceremony for the co-construction of the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance · Women Empowerment” Community Public Welfare Project was successfully held at Shandong China Coal Group. Jointly sponsored by Lianxinqiao Social Organization Service Center of Jining High-tech Zone, Jining Intangible Cultural Heritage Development Association, and Jining Industry and Information Business Vocational Training College under Shandong China Coal Group, the event gathered intangible cultural heritage inheritors, community female staff and flexible employment female representatives, kicking off a new chapter of empowering women through intangible cultural heritage.

The ceremony was hosted by Wang Man, Assistant to the General Manager of the Group and Vice President of Jining Industry and Information Business Vocational Training College. She first extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders, intangible cultural heritage inheritors and female representatives, and elaborated on the core value of the project. On the one hand, it explores local intangible cultural heritage resources in Jining such as crochet and sacred embroidery to protect traditional handicraft culture. On the other hand, it builds a public welfare training platform of “intangible cultural heritage + e-commerce”, broadens income-increasing channels for home-based women and flexible employees, and effectively transforms fingertip crafts into sustainable fingertip economy.

Subsequently, representatives of the three co-organizing parties delivered speeches in turn:

Qiao Chenxin, Director of the Women’s Federation and Chairperson of Lianxinqiao Social Organization Service Center of Jining High-tech Zone, stated that the center will rely on community platforms to discover female craftsmen, unite women groups through intangible cultural heritage projects, enhance neighborhood harmony, and facilitate the construction of harmonious communities.

Chen Liujuan, President of Jining Intangible Cultural Heritage Development Association, introduced that the association will coordinate resources of intangible cultural heritage inheritors and craftsmanship, promote the popularization of intangible cultural heritage culture in communities, and empower women’s development with traditional crafts.

Zhang Zhuangzhi, Vice President of Jining Industry and Information Business Vocational Training College, emphasized that the college will provide professional e-commerce teachers and standardized training courses, teach skills of short video operation and live-streaming sales, and boost the online communication and influence of intangible cultural heritage.

Guan Chenghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong China Coal Group, delivered a speech on behalf of the Group. He said that the Group has always adhered to the corporate mission of being responsible to the country, society, customers and employees, and actively fulfilled corporate social responsibilities. Leveraging its own e-commerce platforms and publicity channels, the Group will provide comprehensive support for intangible cultural heritage public welfare courses, women’s handicraft exhibitions and sales, and online live streaming activities. He also expected the three parties to cooperate sincerely to effectively implement the public welfare project, and encouraged all female participants to seize learning opportunities and create a better life with exquisite craftsmanship.

Accompanied by melodious music, a grand co-construction signing and appointment certificate awarding ceremony was held. Representatives of the three parties formally signed the co-construction agreement to establish a long-term in-depth cooperative relationship. Meanwhile, appointment certificates were issued to intangible cultural heritage instructors, recruiting outstanding craftsmen to teach in community public welfare classes, laying a solid teacher foundation for the normalized development of subsequent courses. The cooperation agreement has built a new four-party linkage model of “community platform, intangible cultural heritage empowerment, college talent cultivation and enterprise support”, and formed an integrated industrial chain for women’s intangible cultural heritage featuring “training - creation - online exhibition and sales”.

After the signing ceremony, intangible cultural heritage instructors gave on-site demonstrations of crochet and sacred embroidery skills, shared experience in innovative integration of handicrafts, and interpreted the innovative development concept of “intangible cultural heritage + e-commerce” that achieves greater results through integrated development. Afterwards, representatives of the three parties held an in-depth forum, discussing details such as the normalized operation of public welfare courses, online promotion of intangible cultural heritage products, and skill assistance for community women, and refining specific implementation plans for future cooperation.

After the ceremony, the attending leaders, guests and intangible cultural heritage representatives visited the training venues of Jining Industry and Information Business Vocational Training College and the Group’s AI Intelligent Research Institute. They had a detailed understanding of the college’s modern training supporting facilities, as well as the research achievements and training application scenarios of China Coal Intelligent Research Institute in artificial intelligence, digital media and intelligent e-commerce fields.

The implementation of this signing project is an innovative practice of benefiting the public with culture and empowering women. Going forward, Shandong China Coal Group will continue to give full play to its platform and resource advantages, and carry out regular public welfare activities including free intangible cultural heritage skill courses, intangible cultural heritage live-streaming sales and women’s handicraft experience sessions. The Group will revitalize and inherit Jining’s intangible cultural heritage of crochet and sacred embroidery, expand flexible employment channels for local women, activate women’s power with corporate responsibility, and boost the integrated development of grassroots governance and cultural revitalization through intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.
