Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Drum Introduction
The permanent magnet synchronous electric drum (referred to as permanent magnet electric drum) is a new type of permanent magnet direct drive system integrating a permanent magnet direct drive motor and the drive drum of a belt conveyor. This design realizes mechatronics and revolutionarily replaces the traditional drive system consisting of an asynchronous motor, reducer and high/low-speed coupling. The permanent magnet electric drum boasts advantages including high efficiency and energy saving, large starting torque, strong overload capacity, small footprint and maintenance-free operation.
It eliminates intermediate mechanical transmission links to cut operating costs and daily maintenance workload. The integrated design of motor and drive drum saves installation space required by traditional drive systems.
With all intermediate transmission links removed, the overall system efficiency rises by more than 20%.
It solves the power balance problem of multiple drums and supports remote intelligent control.
Adopting sensorless vector control technology (SVC), its starting torque reaches 2.2 times the rated torque, and the overload torque hits 2 times the rated torque.
The drum rotor adopts permanent magnets without excitation requirement, featuring low loss and an efficiency of over 92%.
