Some manufacturers also use QJ50 and QJ70 rare earth steel plates to cover the underframe of tramcars. The service life is 1.5-2 times longer than that of 16Mn steel, but the price of this steel is expensive, which is applicable to mines with high requirements for wear resistance of tramcars; In addition, the car floor can also be overlaid with wear-resistant electrodes to improve its wear resistance. In the structural design of the underframe, two box shaped longitudinal main beams and transverse wheel support beams are used to form a rigid frame structure, which greatly enhances its strength, reduces deformation, not only reduces maintenance, but also extends the service life of the tramcar.
