1. Chain wear


a. Wear of flat ring engagement

The wear of the flat ring engagement is caused by the mutual extrusion of the vertical ring and the flat ring. As this is the connection part of the chain, the worn part is located inside the chain arc. If the worn ring chain continues to be used, the chain may break from both sides of the shoulder.


b. Flat ring straight edge engagement wear

As the friction between the chain socket and the flat ring is large, the chain and sprocket will be worn, and the worn part is located outside the arc. If the wear is severe, the flat ring will "gnaw".


c. Wear of vertical ring straight edge

During the transportation of circular chain, sliding wear will occur between vertical ring and materials, chute and sprocket. At the same time, the occurrence of wall flaking, roof caving and other phenomena will also have a greater impact on the opposite ring, which will aggravate the wear of the vertical ring.


2. Chain wheel worn


a. Worn sprocket chain socket

When the chain wheel of the scraper conveyor engages with the chain, due to poor lubrication conditions, there is a relatively large sliding movement at the engagement point. The flat ring will rub with the chain socket, causing wear. The pit in the center of the chain socket is caused by wear. At the same time, due to the existence of material abrasive particles, there will be abrasive wear, causing the surface of the chain wheel to peel off, resulting in many small holes.


b. Worn sprocket teeth

As the wear of chain wheel and chain is further aggravated, the distance between the two chain sockets is getting closer and closer, and the chain sockets of chain wheel are smoothed due to wear.
